Wanted to rename my user in regedit and now I completely lost my user data

I wanted to see if I could rename my user as I didn't like the one that was created by default. I saw steps to do it in regedit and so I did and then the next time I come on my computer everything is gone and it is like my computer has been reset, how can I reset my user?
