Volume doesn't go down, despite appearing as though it is.

I'm able to turn down the volume freely, both with the slider and the use of the button, but the actual volume doesn't decrease. It's only able to mute. Although, something I might've done that could've caused this is accidentally uninstalling something that mightve been important for it, because this is happening on my new laptop, and I was uninstalling random Microsoft apps that came with it that I didn't think I'd need, while possibly not paying full attention to what it was I was uninstalling.
