Hi,

I have been using Windows 10 in VirtualBox for a few days for my college project. Ever since it was set up, I have experienced periodic crashes. At first I wasn't sure what it was but I believe I have narrowed it down to something to do with Windows update. It appears that anytime Windows downloads the update and soon after the whole VM crashes. There is no BSOD, I just see a weird textured blue screen followed by the VM restarting. Everything else works fine apart from the CPU usage being on 100% constantly but the operating system is still usable with the animations disabled. I have turned off the updates which solves the issue, however, I would like to know if there could be any other solution to this issue. I have tried running the update troubleshooter which didn't find any problems.

If it helps, I'm running Windows 10 pro on the VM with 8GB of ram allocated. The host machine is Windows 10 home, 16GB of ram with the latest updates installed. I have already had a look on the VirtualBox forums with no luck.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
