My suggestion is give people back their money when they tell you Vista Sucks
!!!

Getting Vista is like buying a new car and waiting to get fixes before you
can use the car.

What good is a PC without software and hardware that will work with the
Operating System ?

I trashed my Vista copy that came with my PC after two days of not being
able to sue any of my software and Dell telling me I could use it to surf the
Web while I waited for patches and fixes.

I totally agree with you.The only consellation with windows is that if you
know nothing about computers it's a sure thing that by the time you have
dealt with updates etc you become quite computer literate, not by choice i
might add,it's essential now because every update seems to bring with it a
new set of errors and problems that need to be resolved.Well i am seriously
thinking about apple mac system now as am sick of all this.i just want an
easy life now!! error free!!

I just purchased a new PC with Vista installed on it.
After getting it home and updating a few video drivers I was unable to
download any of the important or recommended updates (minus 1 or 2).
I keep getting 80% through the installation and it stops leaving me with
this message "Windows Modules Installer Stopped Working and was Closed".

Ive attempted all the .net fixes and advice but nothing is working.
I should have bought a Mac...

Hard to update the installer when the installer crashes....if any otyhe
rcompany sold a product not fit for purpose there would be an outcry , recall
and people would get here money back ..the arragance if MS is beyond
belief..........

BTYW I also get windows Module Failure and process craches every time update
runs which sine is every time I try to shutdown or hibernate means you can
evemn shut down..MS dirction is reinstall ..this is a brand new OEM box from
HP ..no wonder the OEMS are switching back to XP......

The problem is not Dell. Other than Delsls policy at the time I bought the
lap top was to tell me they didn't support XP any more and I could pay them
$150 to return the lap top or $120 to get XP. Dell now went back to
offering customers XP and many companies and gov. organizations won't touch
Vista.

Again I say t is like buying a car. Do you want to own a test vehicle so
they can learn from all your issues and frustrations, or do you want to be
able to driive off with a vehicle that works 100% of the time? If I just
purchased a vehicle and they couldn't get it to start when I wanted to drive
off the lot, I'd expect them to tear up the contract and give me my money
back, not why don't you wat a couple weeks and check back for updates and
patches.

I flat out told Dell I wouldn't buy another PC from them from the way they
treated me. I stand by that and I also stand by the fact that I threw Vista
in the trash. I'm running XP and it works flawlessly.

After all those test pilots for Microsoft get their Vista working maybe I
will be forced to use it when XP is no longer supported. On the other hand
maybe Vista will go the same way of the Blue Screen of Death Windows ME.
