Version 24H2 and NVIDIA major conflict. What do I do?

Tried to update to Windows 11, version 24H2 and it no longer recognized the NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3070 Ti Laptop GPU. I tried to install the latest NVIDIA driver but it failed saying there was no hardware on the machine for it. So I had to rollback to 23H2 and I did get my monitor back.I read on a support page (Guidance for updating to Windows 11, version 24H2 on devices with certain Nvidia display adapters - Microsoft Support) that NVIDIA owners MUST install Microsoft's recommended video driver BEFORE attempting to install version 24H2
