UX425EA Laptop unable to charge, or plug in to use on power

Recently did a BIOS update, I think while I was doing the update my battery drained and died while updating in progress. When I managed to reboot, I felt that the update had been disrupted but reflected the latest firmware version UX425EA.317. But I am no tech expert to check. Weeks down the road, I realized that my battery wasn't charging up/ slow charging until 0%. I thought it was the battery issue and had it changed for $160 but then the issue arose again.
