Using pictures or slideshows per Virtual Desktop in Win11

If you can use a different picture for each Virtual Desktop, and you can use a different picture for each monitor (even when using a "slideshow"), then why can't you use a different "slideshow" folder for each Virtual Desktop or why can't you use a picture for 1 Virtual Desktop & a slideshow for another? Aren't the Virtual Desktops suppose to be independent of each other?
