I've just signed up for Exchange Plan 1 and in the middle of executing cutover migration from on premise Exchange 2007 to the cloud. My mailbox is already synced. I configured Outlook 2013 to connect to my cloud mailbox successfully. I'm now facing a new problem, my active directory user account keeps getting locked out when I launch Outlook 2013 to access my online mailbox.
My Active Directory username is JDoe and my email address is jdoe@mydomain.com. My AD password and Exchange online password are completely different and I'd like to keep them separate. I have an AD policy to lock out users after X invalid login attempts. I'm guessing that is the reason why my AD account keeps getting locked out whenever Outlook kicks in.
How do I resolve this problem without syncing the 2 passwords and to keep account lockout policy intact?
