usb keyboards not recognized by laptop anymore

Windows 11 Lenovo legion 7i laptop keeps saying usb devices not recognized. Happened after plugging in and out a one handed keyboard a few times. Now no keyboard is recognized, keeps saying the usb device malfunctioned. The keyboards work as tested on other laptops.
