I have a Sony USB flash drive which I had connected to my computer with Windows 10. It was taking too long to copy files onto it. So I cancelled it and decided to eject it. When I selected safely remove, it said the device was in use. I still removed it as all windows were closed. Later, when I reconnected it, the drive wasn't detected at all. I tried some methods such as uninstalling it from device manager and rebooting. When I did it, my computer was stuck at the UEFI screen as the drive connected, and didn't change until I removed it. The same thing happened later with the Windows 10 boot screen as well. I tried connecting it after booting and nothing worked.
I connected it to another computer with Windows 7 and had the same issue. The light on the USB drive blinks slowly when it is connected. I tried removing upper filters and lower filters as told on this page. However, it created the same effect with all other flash drives, until I restored the registry from a backup. The device is detected in device manager and disk management, but without any volume or unallocated space. It says the drive letter is E and shows 'No media'. The drive isn't shown in Windows Explorer, but if I enter E:\, it says "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (E". Can I have some help here? Thanks in advance.
