I just purchased a 16 TB external SSD to archive videos and music from my Win 11 Pro laptop. It was described as USB 3.1 with backward compatibility, suitable for Windows O/S. Windows recognized it when I plugged it in, but then loses touch with it as soon as I try to do anything substantive with it. I tried a Macrium Reflect backup, and that claimed the destination drive didn't exist. I tried copying files using File Explorer, and it fails after partially copying.
