We have a device which uses the WinUSB.sys (built in Windows driver) to connect to PC through USB.
When we connect our device to the PC and check the device manager, we found that the Windows is not recognizing our device and giving an error:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device.
A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
Information of system where the device is connected:
-secure boot is on and legacy boot option is disabled in BIOS settings of the PC.
-Windows 10 Operating system
Question:-
-Do we have to sign the Windows’s winusb.sys file to make our device work ?
- Do we have to re-register/validate the Windows’s winusb.sys file with Microsoft ?
