USB audio device doesn't mute

The system is not able to recognize when I mute my USB audio device. A problem with the USB microphone and headphones was ruled out. If I try to mute my device through the system, it doesn't work as well. The system says the audio is muted, but it's not. It started happening ever since I updated Windows to the 24H2 version. I tried reinstalling and updating audio drivers and it didn't work.
