USB 3.0 Port being used as USB Mass Storage and capped at 40Mbps

HiPlease help me out this with.I have tried uninstalling drivers. Restart etc.My laptop has 2 USB C 3.1 Ports, first one is working good and giving 500MB/s speed. but another one which is also USB C 3.1 when I plug my external SSD being recognized as USB Mass Storage in (Device Manager) and gives only 40MB/s.I am not able to fix this issue.
