Urgent help with recovery system

My pc hasn't been working well today so out of options I decided to use the option to restore it to how it was yesterday, it's been stuck for 2 hours on the "copying to registry" part and I'm getting scared, do I have ANY way at all to safely turn off my pc? Can I stop the process somehow? I need my pc for school and I don't even know what broke about it to fix it, I use windows 10 in it's latest update
