Upgrading Windows 8 to Windows 10

I am trying to upgrade my HP Envy Desktop from Windows 8 to Windows 10. I cannot get the windows media creation tool to open, I get error code 0x80072f8f - 0x20000. I have tried downloading Windows 10 and it gets to 95% and then says installation failed with no error code. I have tried manually downloading the Windows 8 updates and those were successful. I tried to use the Easy Fix tool and it says it does not apply to my system. I am lost at this point and would really appreciate any help.Thanks.
