Upgrading Windows 8.1 to 10 fails at 73% every time

I have a Samsung Ultrabook series 940 that I am trying to upgrade from windows 8.1 to Windows 10. From what I can tell, the PC has all of the technical requirements to run Windows 10. I have purchased and downloaded the media creation tool, and have tried the "Upgrade this PC now" as well as the "create installation media" options. Both options produce the same result: the installation process stops at 73% and I receive a message that says "windows 10 installation has failed". I cannot seem to find any support articles that provide any solutions to this problem. Any help would be greatly
