Upgrade to windows 11.

I have an Intel I7 6700HQ processor running windows 10. This processor isn't supported to upgrade to windows 11, my PC meets all other requirements. However looking at supported processors running windows 7 mind is supported for an upgrade to windows 11. Could anyone explain this please
