Upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Windows 11 activation problem

I bought a refurbished HP desktop from Amazon with Windows 10 Home installed. I performed an upgrade to Windows 11 but somehow Windows 11 Pro has been installed rather than 11 Home. I don't recall making a choice between Home and Pro during the installation...?Since I had a Home edition to begin with, I can not activate Windows. Is there anything I can do other than buying a Pro license or making a clean install?
