After installation, I got an error trying to open Outlook that said I should
reinstall. When I tried from Add/Remove Programs, it says, "The language of
this installation package is not supported by your system," whether I choose
Change or Remove.
I reinserted by 2003 CD and tried to Repair/Reinstall. It said it was
successful, but did not restore any of the 2003 programs nor did it remove
any of the 2007, nor did it fix Outlook.
I reinserted the 2007 CD and tried to reinstall. It says "Locate your
earlier version of Microsoft Office" and asks me to browse for the location.
I chose the folder in my Program files called Office11, but it says, "The
path you have chosen does not point at a qualifying upgradable product..."
Is there a specific folder that I need to point it to as the prior version?
or is the prior version now gone since the 2003 apparently will not overwrite
the 2007.
Also, it removed the 2003 versions of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, which I
told it to keep.
Thanks
