Update from windows 7 to windows 10

I am running windows 7 home premium version 6 ( build 760 1: ) service pack 1



1 When I go to windows 10 download it is indicating I am running vista

2 My windows update is showing windows 10 is ready to download

3 I have had several attempts to download windows 10 from my update with out success , it arrives at 7 % then fails

4 I receive a windows update error code 0x8024402C ( 2015-09-19-T-10_11_25A another attempt error code 8024000B

5 After following this up with microsoft community files that scanned my computer the result stated Service registration is missing or corrupt
