Update button not showing when there is an update to my UWP app.

After publishing my latest app update on the Microsoft Store through Partner Center, on a button click in older app my app successfully navigates users to the store page for updates. However, instead of showing an 'Update' button, it only displays a 'Open' button. When the newly released version is downloaded the latest version gets download. Also store auto updates are not enabled.What could be causing this issue, and how can I ensure the update button appears correctly?
