Uninstalled bluetooth in device manager and unable to re-install it again

I've had issues for a few months now where my bluetooth randomly stops working (it says 'bluetooth is turned off' and shows no option to turn it back on again). This tends to happen once or twice per month, but I've discovered that I can fix it by either reinstalling the bluetooth driver, or uninstalling the old one and reinstalling it again. I tried to do the latter after the first method didn't work, but this time it completely removed bluetooth from the device manager app and no matter how many times I try to reinstall it, or how many different drivers I try, it won't install again.
