Hey there,We have 2 installations of Office 365 in our office, everyone else has perpetually licensed Office 2016/2013.
Outlook works fine for everyone Except the two office 365 Users.
The Issue: When a user creates a new email by using any version of "Send to Email" (ie. Right-Click > Send to > Mail recipient. OR Scan in Adobe > Send to > Outlook as attachment) the attachments cannot be viewed.
If the user sends the message the attachment is fine. It is open-able on the other end. If the user sends the email to themselves they are able to open the attachment.
If the user Creates a New Message then uses the Attach button the attachment can be opened.
It is only if the users tries to "Send to Email" either through right-click or with another application such as Adobe or directly through their desk scanner (where the issue occurs mos often) that the attachment cannot be opened.
Upon trying to open the attachment you get a message saying "Microsoft Outlook: The Operation Failed"
This error is extremely reproducible on both affected machines.
Attempted resolutions:
Office Repair - both quick and online
Office Reinstall
Adobe Acrobat Repair
Adobe Acrobat Reinstall
Outlook - Enable Cached Mode
Outlook - Clear Cache Folder
Ensure Windows Firewall is Enabled
Note:
The only really weird thing I could see was that I could go to the Default applications, change how the file was supposed to open(say with Edge instead of Reader DC) and the icon would change everywhere EXCEPT in outlook new messages. not sure if that help at all...
All PC's in Question are Windows 10 Build 1903 with Office 365 Click-to-Run Build 1909.
