unable to log on to my Windows 11 workstation using RDp with a Microsoft Account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***)

it always tries to connect, then fails to accept my credentials, I have created a local account and can get connected using only the username portion of the account, not with DOMAIN/username. The computer is in a workgroup not a domain, prior to upgrading to Windows 11I was always able to establish a remote desktop session. Also, I have turned off Require network level authentication.
