unable to log into user profile

I am the administrator on my sons windows 11 pc. When I try and log onto the pc it asks me to sign in, shows a brief spinning wheel then returns to the sign in page. I can sign into his account without issue. We are unable to log into safe mode as it states you need an administrator but won’t let me access it. The same happens when trying to access the command prompt in safe mode. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
