Unable to delete pictures from Microsoft word pictures

This is driving me crazy that I am unable to delete pictures from my Microsoft word picture folder. I have no idea what to do. I have over 76,210 pictures that needs to be deleted. This **** is taking up too much of my storage. I have no idea how or why these pictures continue to populate and save to my computer. Please help, Michelle
