Unable to customize reports in Microsoft Money 2002

I have been using Microsoft Money since 1999. Everything works fine except I am unable to customize reports. Whenever I open a report, when clicking on "Customize" on the left hand side, Money becomes unresponsive. When I click the mouse anywhere in the area, I hear a "BEEP" sound and nothing can be done (I cannot click on anything else - like go to "Account List" or another area on Money). If I click the "ESC" key, I can resume working with Money (still unable to customize reports).
