Unable to activate with old laptop license

[Windows Server]

I recently downgraded from Win 10 Education to Win 10 Home and want to use an old laptop Win 8/10 key on my new pc build. I got the key ending in 8HVX7 and it is not letting me activate. It was a retail digital key. Please help.
