Un-able to install security update

Hello, i was wondering why i am unable to install this windows vista update.
It has been popping up for the last week or so, and everytime i click install
it goes through the process but when my pc restarts i get the same pop up
asking to install the update again. I have no clue why it keeps doing this
and won't install. There are no other updates available and this is the only
time i have ever had trouble with an update with Vista so far. I use windows
Vista home premium. Any help would be appreciated

Matthew, join the club. You will notice others posting here with the same
problem.
You are not going to get that update installed. Period! I worked directly
with MS support and they never got it fixed either.
Take updates off automatic and deselect that one manually. Or You can do
what my friends and I have done (even with XP) and turn off updates
completely.

Sorry but that's the way it is. :-(

I could care less about the update, i just wanted it to stop because it
always bugs me to update and it never does. I'll just ignore it and do manual
updates weekly instead of auto-updates. Thanks for the info, because atleast
now i know it won't get fixed so i shouldn't keep trying to fix it.

The updates come monthly on every Black Tuesday?????????

Yeah, i've the same problem here with my Vista. Not sure what's going wrong.
