Ugrading my computer - how do i get Windows 11 after the upgrade with a Windows 10 Key?

HelloDespite performances that are still really good for my usage, my 7 years computer need a lifting as the motherboard does not support Windows 11 and the whole thing will probably fall out for the new games i would like to play.My problem is that i will have to format the hard drive with all the programs, and my IT guy (yes, i'm not doing it myself) explained me that he will install the "free" version of windows 11 that i will have then to activate with a key.
