I am having trouble installing the free Windows 10 Update from my Window 7 OS due to error 80070005 (Access Denial Error).
This is despite going through the error 80070005 and its eleven associated errors, and also:- running the MS “System Update Readiness” tool”; running the MS “System File Checker” (cmd-line Sfc/scannow); running Bullguard “Services Repair" tool; running the MS Windows Update Automated Troubleshooter; and running the “SubInACL” tool.
Some other things got fixed in the process. The last tool I ran was SubInACL and this gave a clean result.
The only thing I can now think of is that for some time directly after logging on to this laptop I have received a “RegSvr32” error message (see attachment). This still remains after running all the above tools. Could this be affecting the Windows 10 installation and how do I go about implementing the instruction in the message (which I don’t understand)?
Any help would be appreciated.
