Since May 1st my laptop has crashed, resulting in a BSOD about 5 times. I went on a computer forum and received much needed help from a member there.

He had me run event views and WhoCrashed and post the responses to see if he could help find a resolution. The reports written were related to a NTFS problem and then, after the last crash on 5/23, there was a Kernel system error msg.

He suggested that I uninstall my AVG. It was free, and I run the free MalwareBytes.

I did this and found no difference in the diagnostics.

Rather than reinstall AVG, I searched and discovered that people are pleased with the MSE. I thought it improved for Win 8 but I am running Win 7.

I installed MSE, let it run quick scan and it did not pick up anything. I ran that extended scan and it found the Trojan Dropper noted in the subject of this post.

I did click the Remove button.

I searched under programs for anything related to this name but couldn't find it.

My computer has been running really slowly for about 1.5 years. I used the Win 7 cleanup programs and suggestions.

I am wondering if I am clear of further problems though as I read in the MSE report that this program can install other programs. Has anyone used MSE with Win 7 to successfully solve this problem?

Thanks.
