Hello,
I am unable to start my computer normally. I recently installed a new video card (XFX HD 5000 Radeon HD 5450 DirectX 11 HD-545X-ZQH2 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready). It was working fine for a few days until when I started it up today the monitor went into Power Saving Mode and then turned off. I am able to access Safe Mode but when I try to disable Windows from entering sleep mode it will not allow me to change any changes.
Under Power Options under any plan (balanced, power saver, high performance, or custom) I only have one setting to change, "Turn off the display", which I have set to "Never". On everything I am seeing online other people have an additional setting, "Put the computer to sleep", where they can select "Never" - I do not have that. So I tried another way by going into "Change advanced power settings", but under "Sleep" I only have one option, "Allow wake timers".
I really have no idea how to fix this. Please help if you can. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Thanks.
