Trackpad stopped working and windows start search and settings closes itself.

Restarted my laptop because it was slow at opening apps. After I do that, it shows that it was getting updated in the restart screen. My trackpad stops working, I go to the device manager to troubleshoot, it says it is disconnected. A user on this platform says that it will re-install if I remove device and its driver. I do it and it does not work. I cant even see it in hidden devices anymore. What should I do? I have an ELAN touchpad from a Lenovo IdeaPad 320.
