Touchpad Struggles to Click and Drag

Around 2 weeks ago my touchpad started struggling to click and drag words and it takes me multiple attempts to highlight until it works. It seems to only work in 1 specific area and I have to click with 1 finger and then use my other finger to drag instead of being able to do both at the same time. Often times when I try to click and drag it will stop dragging mid-way. Other than that, all other features work normally, except for some issues with clicking but when I tap instead of clicking it works everytime. I really just want to fix the click and drag feature.
