TOUCHPAD STOPPED WORKING AND CURSER IS MISSING

Recently I attempted to change the keyboard backlight settings so I can stop the lights from pulsing. However, after holding FN and pressing F11, and going through the process of waking my laptop up, the touchpad and curser have not been working. I managed to open Device Manager by holding the Windows key and X, but I was given no option to navigate any of the listed settings afterwards. The arrow keys will not take me any further.I have tried hard shutting off my computer twice and restarting it, but it has done nothing.the only time my touchpad and curser are functional is when i'm entering
