thunderbird email app and plusnet emails

[Windows 11]

I have got a new asus windows 11 laptop. I downloaded Thunderbird to send/receive my emails. I can send/receive my yahoo emails no problem. But I can't send Plusnet emails (I can receive them). I can send/receive emails on the Plusnet server. Please note I have not been a customer of Plusnet for 3 years but have always had access to my account on the server. Could this be the reason why I can't send on Thunderbird even though I can send on the Plusnet server. Or could it be something to do with the SMTP settings?
