Third-party app cannot read/write files located in public documents folder on Windows 10

Hello Experts,I have installed a commercial software on my Windows 10 PC. The software fails to launch and throws a file permission error on startup. It seems the software is unable to read/write data files which are located at "C:\Users\Public\Documents. The path is hard-coded in the software and I cannot move the data folder elsewhere. I have tried the following steps.1. Running the software as Administrator2. Took the data folder's ownership and gave "Full control" permission on it and its files and sub-folders to myself.3.
