The advantages of a Microsoft Account.

Hi, This is not a technical question nor a product issue, rather a discussion with an initial question. I would like to know the advantages of having a Microsoft account versus a Local account on Windows 10/11. Say fx. I am not using Microsoft products, that is, no Office, Outlook, Onedrive, Edge or bing, but open-source alternatives instead, on a single Desktop Computer. Would I have any benefits of having a Microsoft account versus a Local account?Thank you for your reply.
