Temporary profile after update install.

Lap top running Windows 8. Problem. After recent update, was signed in on a temporary profile. Tried several attempts to re sign in as directed by pop up box but no joy. Tried to system restore, but after this getting pop up box with system restore did not complete successfully, probably due to anti virus running. An Unspcified error occurred during ststem restore. (0x80070005) removed anti virus program, (but is it possible thet it is still running in my normal profile?) After re-trying restore, another pop up box again, Did not complete successfully, System restore failed while sc
