What happens if you run in No-Addons mode (ignoring the fact the page won't

load the Flash part, of course)?

Are you using IE 32-bit, or IE 64-bit (that page won't run in IE 64-bit as

it uses Flash which is only available for IE 32-bit). What version of IE and

Windows are you using?

Just tried it on IE8 with XP SP3, works fine. I use this site, and it's

sister www.speedtest.net, quite regularly with IE7 and IE8 on XP SP2, SP3,

and Windows 7 with IE8, and have never had a tab recovery error. It's

possible you have an incompatible add-on loaded (I'd recommend uninstalling

and reinstalling Adobe Flash for a start).
