SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (win32kbase.sys) on startup

Something weird happened. I turned on my pc and it loads up as usual and the logo and loading circle immediately disappear and then I get a BSOD that had an error code of (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION) and the thing that failed was win32kbase.sys. I already know that win32kbase.sys has something to do with file corruption but im just making sure what i should do to fix this problem. my pc loaded up completely fine after the error happened but it said it was working on updates and it restarted shortly after and my pc booted up like nothing ever happened. here is a picture (sorry if its hard to see
