KB4489878 2019-03 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64- based systems
KB4474419 2019-03 Security Update for Windows 7 for x64based systems
Normally auto installing updates works well, but this month's updates stall during the install at 54%. No error code. I left it going for many many hours...no progress. The only way to get a working system has been to restart, run in safe mode with command prompt to get back to previous working system (type CD restore, enter, type RStrui.exe, next, select a date of a working system, next, finish, yes).
Tried numerous times, same result. Ran troubleshooter tool. Same result except these 2 updates did install:
KB890830 Windows Malicious SW Removal Tool x64
KB4490628 2019-03 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 7 for x64-based systems
I've had to turn off auto install so that my system won't keep trying to install this update and end up frozen...but I'd like to know how to resolve so that I can go back to using auto install (I'm only modestly techie so like to rely on auto install).
Thanks.
