System restore operation was prevented by Bitlocker !

HelloAbout 2 months ago i purchased a new laptop running windows 11Today I had to do a system restore BUT was prevented from doing so due to the presence of Bitlocker ! I was presented with a blue screen requesting a recovery key for Bitlocker.I didn't even know that the laptop had Bitlocker installed and there was NO warning when i initiated system restore that I would encounter this issue.However if i still didnt have access to my old laptop I wouldn't know how on earth i was supposed to obtain this key?!!
