System freezes and can't update my C++ files.

Within a couple minutes of starting my computer, the system freezes. If I allow windows to reboot itself, or if I hard restart by holding the power button, the computer will operate fine until it is shut down or restarted again. I've already reinstalled .net, but now it won't let me update my C++ 2015-2019.
