switching options

I plugged my android phone into my laptop to upload pictures and chose the option of "open the device to view files" and now only see the internal device on my laptop and can't figure how to change the settings back to select photo's and videos to get pictures off phone. not sure if it is a setting on my samsung S23FE or in my windows program.
