Surface LAPTOP Go not reading USB port, how to fix?

A few days ago I was downloading something onto my USB stick (because my laptop only supports 128 GB *eye roll*) and my computer randomly froze on me while downloading. After force restarting my device there was no indication of my USB being read. I tried trouble shooting the process by trying different USB devices such as a western digital hard drive, an interface for a microphone, and I tried both using a USB C adapter and it picked up nothing. There also was no chime when plugged in, the only thing that made the chime was my Pixel 8 through the USB C port and again it just charges my phone
