Support ending for windows 10 in october

I read microsoft support ending in October 2025 for Window 10. My computer not big enough for window 11. How can I keep my window 10 safely? I have read that noting will be safe after October if i do not switch. I cannot afford to buy a new computer and this one is still good. Please advise I want to keep but protect form hackers Thank you
