Sudden Increase in Hardware Reserved Memory?

I've had my current PC for 6 years. It has 8GB of RAM installed, and has done since I built it. It has always registered those 8GB. But as of about a week ago, it can only use 6 of those, with 2GB 'Hardware Reserved'. The hasn't been any changes to the hardware in about a year. The system has nothing hardware wise that can justify taking a quarter of my memory.


Anyway to recover that memory?


Relevant Specs:

CPU: i7 920 (this CPU has no integrated graphics)

RAM: 8gb DDR3 1333MHz modules (4x2gb). (Triple Channel)

Graphics: GTX 760 (2gb VRAM).
Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58-UD3R

OS: Windows 7 Pro (sp1)
